Your Role

We are looking for systems engineers in aerospace modeling and simulation who want to help shape the future of flight systems. In this role, you will develop methodologies, models, and modeling frameworks that are a central part of the development of advanced control systems.

We are building a completely new area, which gives you a unique opportunity to influence from the start. The newly established Flight Control Item section is responsible for the realization of aerospace technology and control systems in both software and hardware, as well as for developing and driving modeling and simulation in the field.

The section is part of BU Advanced Programs, whose mission is to look ahead to tomorrow's flying vehicles. Right now, there is a strong focus on unmanned systems, while studies are also being conducted on manned systems. The work is carried out in the form of demonstrators, rigs, and studies, where concepts and ideas are turned into verified technology.

The position may involve travel.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys modeling and simulation and is motivated to delve into technical relationships and system behaviors. You are curious, structured, and have a strong desire to develop. Working in a team comes naturally to you - you appreciate collaboration, knowledge exchange, and driving the work forward together.

• We believe you are an engineer, preferably with a focus on aerospace and/or modeling. Above all, we see that you have the ambition to learn, grow in the role, and become really skilled in your field.
• The work is primarily done in Fortran, C, and ADA, along with Matlab and Simulink.
• You need to have good knowledge of both Swedish and English.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
